Kane
Not getting a fossil vibe from this one I would guess weathered, suggestively shaped sedimentary rock. 3 ...How to Philosophize with a Hammer
Walt
artifact vibe for me. Maybe you can poke around in those holes I pointed out with a needle and see if they go through. I'm kind of wondering if it is some Native American ornament given where it was found. But that is a long shot, I'm sure. 1 Everything is generated through your own will power ~ Ray Bradbury

Auspex
The bi-lateral symmetry is remarkable in this piece; very suggestive of an organic origin. My first impression is an internal mold of a bivalve (a steinkern). 1 "There has been an alarming increase in the number of things I know nothing about." - Ashleigh Ellwood Brilliant “Try to learn something about everything and everything about something.” - Thomas Henry Huxley >Paleontology is an evolving science. >May your wonders never cease! abyssunder
It looks like a bivalve steinkern, to me.
