When I looked online there were fossils which looked similar to 7 that were labelled as salamander. However I've learned not to trust google image search for fossils, especially ones that are less recognizable (remember my Melvius and Champsosaurus tooth confusion). Coprolites from the Lance will stick if you touch them to the tip of your tongue. Look for a smooth spot, perhaps the broken end and test it there. If the whole thing is coated with granular material, try scraping the broken end with an X-acto blade. Coprolites from this formation can also be fine grained on the exterior with an iron-rich core like this one. 1 Lori www.areallycrappystory.com/fossils www.facebook.com/fossilpoo

I just tested it and it stuck for about 3 seconds before falling into my lap.

Not positive but bowfin are bigger and the top of the tooth is flat. That Salamander is a candidate but there are others in the Lance
