abyssunder
Was it found in Texas, if correct, where exactly? It may help in the rule-out process. It may help in the rule-out process. it was in a load of gravel we received for our drives here in the Houston area in Texas...as soon as the girl who ordered it comes back from Germany I can get a more generalized location that the gravel came from as it was her company that hauled it. hndmarshall
wondering if it could be some sort of petrified wood burr?...it is weird... and petrified wood is plentiful here.
Fossildude19
Not seeing anything recognizable as a fossil there. Try taking the pictures outside, in natural light. Don't get too close to the item, when photographing it. ynot
The impression I get from the pictures is of a weathered coble of "crazy lace" agate. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." KimTexan
I believe it fossilized palm root. I have seen some that looks somewhat similar to that. Palm is a common fossilized wood in Texas.
