TN gal needing ID of fossil find?

I found some interesting bones/rock/fossils?? Needing help to determine if they are really fossils. Found in North Central Arkansas on an exposed / eroding hill side leading to a river. I dug many of these out of red sticky clay.

I really appreciate any help I can get, I’ve had these for 2 years and it’s finally time to see if I unearthed a remarkable find. Fingers crossed

Looks like a big concretion to me maybe even chert. Sorry, but I do not see anything that suggests fossil to me. Im sure others will chime in soon. Lets see what they say.

Thanks for your quick response, I’ve been trying to do my homework and was leaning towards just cool clay formations :). Sure wanted it to be fossil.

I also believe they are chert nodules. They can take some really cool forms.

I think this is chert, but it could be the edge of a Brachiopod.

Depending upon where you are in NW AR you can find brachiopods. I think it is the Kings River area near Mountain Home that has brachiopos and maybe some crinoid material.

This is a brachiopod from NW AR. It is about 3.5 inches across.1F8C1764-19E5-411F-B311-ABABD9F79228.thumb.jpeg.a07924d88477c4cd34fe6eefa2982323.jpeg

Not wanting to come off sounding abrupt, but any further ID inquiries you may have will serve you best if posted in the "Fossil ID" thread.

It looks like Northern Arkansas is a lot of Pennsylvanian Age rock so @KimTexan may be onto something.

see the map here:
