Help ID Bilvalve (?) Fossil

Hello, I'm new and know next to nothing about fossils.

Found in the Texas Hill Country in the bed of the Frio River.

The picture doesn't show, but the shell sparkles.

The opposite side of the rock (not pictured) shows only rock, no shell.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Welcome to the Forum. Without seeing more of the shell, you have a pectin or a relative of a pectin ( superfamily Pectinoidea)

It is most likely a Cretaceous Neithea sp.

My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned.

See my Arizona Paleontology Guide    link  The best single resource for Arizona paleontology anywhere.

Welcome to the forum from sunny Florida. Agree with DPS. If you take a picture of the side it appears to have a possible sea snail on the upper right side of the pectin.
