Just read it. Very interesting. 2 weeks ago I saw a video where @Cris was hunting fossil shells in Florida with help of the UV light, which revealed those amazing patterns in the same way. Crazy all that nature can do!

Not just for warming, reptiles, including my dearest Tidgy, need UVB to produce vitamin D3 which enables them to process calcium. 

Even more information on UV than most folk will ever need. :D
