BRANCHIOSAUR - PERFECT SOFT TISSUE PRESERVATION

dhk

Another example of unusual preservation is the specimen’s full stomach. In this Branchiosaur, the remnants from its last meal can clearly be seen on either side of the spine in the abdominal cavity. Under magnification the fragments do show soft tissue material but is not identifiable. I have a reservation to scan this at the University under very high magnification to see if any structure can be identified as to what the last meal may have been.
