Ctenostreon pectiniformis (Schlotheim 1820)
17x13cm. Original shell with attached Serpula. Ctenostreon is often mistaken for an oyster, which it is not. The genus belongs to the family of the Limidae. This sample was found in the upper Aalenian layers at the clay pit in Geisingen.
