Orbonella cf. parkinsoni (Hägele 2003)

"rear view" 3cm. Shell complete. From the Parkinsoni zone, upper Bajocian at Sengenthal. Proper identification of this Fauna from this site is extremely difficult. I'm sticking with this name from a recent work for the time being. They used to be (or still are) named O.granulata, O.buvignieri, O. plicopunctata, etc. but the variations are so manifold that you need to spend hours counting ribs and measuring angles. I'm leaving that to the experts.
