Did you buy this on PaleoDirect.com? I'm sure I've seen an awfully similar fossil on there.

Great specimen either way.

No, never bought anything from there. Solnhofen is about 300km far from the spot where I used to live. I went there from time to time, either to dig myself or to get some unprepped fossils from the quarry workers.

The location "Zandt" is famous for its excellent shrimps. Very delicate fossil preservation on extremely fine grained slabs. Unfortunately the quarry was closed long ago in 1970 or so.
