1 - TUSK DISCOVERY
On a beautiful sunny morning in the spring of 2006, I glanced up along a bluff...and my heart almost stopped! I knew immediately, from 30 yards away, what I was looking at...mammoth tusk! The next hour was a lesson in restraint. The freshly exposed portion of tusk was very fragile. I ultimately decided to cover the exposed ivory with "soupy" mud, then come back as soon as I could get some good advice and recruit some help.
