CIMG0009 (1024x671)

Sharkbyte

This is a group of fossil Phalanx or finger bones both from whale and Dolphin with the largest measuring 5-1/4" long and the smallest measuring just under 3/4" long. What a difference.

Really nice Bobby! You mentioned you are piecing some together? How is that going?

Thanks Libby,

It is going very slow since they closed the Aurora, NC mine to public collecting but every now and then I will find a piece or two that I can use on ebay and I have gotten some pieces from other Forum members. At this rate it will take a few more years but it is pretty enjoyable to work on.

Patience is a virtue as I am learning with fossils. Keep it up and you will have your prize all pieced together! Sad to hear Aurora is closed now. I have always wanted to go and investigate. Hear there is a fossil fair in May in Aurora.
