3.1 inch Bakersfield (Sharktooth Hill) I. Hastalis Mako tooth
This is a very large and colorful I. hastalis (Broad-tooth Mako) shark tooth from Sharktooth Hill in Bakersfield, CA. This location is known for producing some very colorful fossilized sharks teeth. I wish I could say this one was a personal find, but unfortunately this one was a purchase all the way. Glad to have it in the collection though, as it is the first 3 inch + Mako that I have owned.
