Fossils Dredged from Atlantic Ocean

During the late Ice Age era the Atlantic Ocean along the east coast was 300 feet lower than the present sea level. This dramatic drop in sea level exposed an area of land extending 90 miles east along the continental shelf. Commerical fishing trawlers often bring up ice age fossils in their nets exposed on the bottom by storms. These examples are two piece of walrus tusk and a mastodon rear molar.
