Thanks, it's a nice early starfishes taphocenosis. Lately I see good chemical preparations in Brechin materials.

This is good because I feel that they keep better details than using mechanical preparation (abrasives).

Was this the piece recently on Ebay? If so, I go hunting with the guy who found/prepped it. He has an great eye for starfish and recently sold plates covered in Pleurocystites cystoids. Brechin is my local quarry and is truly an amazing place to hunt.

Yes it was less than a year ago, sure is the same guy. He works really well Brechin's echinoderms. You're very lucky to have that fossil site as local quarry.
