I think thats Harry's usual preservation method...

Naw! It's nothing so complicated. This tooth was one of my earliest finds. I was using Glyptal as a consolidant -- experimenting with the dilution. It was not dilute enough in the case of this tooth. It's easily remedied with an acetone bath.

This tooth has languished on a dimly-lit shelf for decades as it is, safe and solid. It's the only loose example I could find, though I may have others stored in a box somewhere. The specimen was never significant enough to warrant further attention, I guess.
