@SailingAlongToo just recovered my first complete Chesapecten nefrens a few days ago along with a golfball sized Ecphora that was a bit beatup. These scallops are gorgeous. I believe what I found was a nefrens because it's from the Choptank formation at Calvert Cliffs and I though that C. jeffersonius was only around from 4-5 MY according to Wikipedia and the Choptank formation that I was finding them in is 12-15 MY. These are absolutely beautiful. The site I went to had a bunch of Chesapecten but I only found one with two complete halves. Really pretty shells and should make for a great display piece. Keep up the finds!
