Lobatus leidyi (Heilprin, 1886)
Location: Bonita Grande Pit (Golden Gate Member), Lee County, Florida USA.
Status: Extinct
Notes: A common species in the Lower Caloosahatchee Formation, it is also found in the Upper Pliocene Golden Gate Member of the Tamiami Formation. Compare to an excellently preserved specimen from the Caloosahatchee Formation. LINK
