Woodbinesuchus byersmauricei, Rush Creek

Mikrogeophagus

Woodbinesuchus byersmauricei, North TX

Cenomanian, Cretaceous

Jun, 2023

The only croc described from the Rush Creek Member of the Woodbine. Unlike most modern crocs, Woodbinesuchus had an extremely narrow snout with long teeth adapted for a diet of fish. The closest thing today is an Indian gharial. The croc teeth are apparently quite abundant at my site. Easily some of my favorite teeth ever.
