@Tidgy's Dad any ideas on this one? Have included a few other pictures that might be a little more clear than the main one :) If any of the other "brachiopods" (or ones that I've gotten wrong!) in this album are obvious to you would appreciate any ideas as well, have been working through them with my field guides but some have been stubborn!

I can't quite make it out.I think I know but... Is it strophic? A spiriferid?

The hinge is not particularly straight, so would say spiriferid

Well, the hinge should be pretty much straight.

It is Costispirifer arenosus, I expect.

Yep that looks pretty identical, thanks so much! Interestingly though the image in Field Guide to Devonian Fossils of NY seems to suggest much more dramatic middle ridges, which is why I passed it over initially. Thanks again!
