@Shellseeker I have another probably not very interesting tooth, was identified as deer but unsure if anything more can be said in terms of a species or genus. Any ideas?

Nice tooth !!!! It's either deer or camelid (Llama) based on size mostly.  Here is one that @Harry Pristis convinced me was a deer m2 back in 2010.

I have heard that the darker color comes from the tannic acid from vegetation in the Peace River..  There are plenty of fossils that come up with black enamel and black roots.  These are my complete Megs found between Christmas and New Years 2009.  When some one says "Peace River Meg"  these come to mind.
