Ptychodus occidentalis
Ptychodus occidentalis
Uppermost middle Cenomanian
Texas
My most spectacular Ptychodus tooth, which I almost didn't find. I was finishing the day, and then decided to remove one last slab of sandstone before moving on. It is a decently sized tooth for the species, at 22 mm (0.87 inches) tall and 19 mm (0.75 inches) wide.
