Johnny676767
This was my first time at Beltzville State Park in Pennsylvania, USA. I believe these come the Upper Devonian Mahantango Formation. I saw similar examples in other posts as was hoping to confirm my guesses. Thanks 1. Horn coral? 2. Crinoid stem?- not sure if that’s something to the left of the stem. 3. Rugose coral? connorp
The second one could be an external mold of either a crinoid stem, or possibly from an orthoconic nautiloid. Hard to tell from the pictures.
Fossildude19
Correct on 1 and 2. #3 is a mold of a Pleurodictyum sp. tabulate coral. 4 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Rockwood
#2 Notice the crenelations in the top end indicating crinoid stem. Clockwise to the right from the top are two brachiopods and what looks like it may be a short section of cornulites.
