caldigger
Found this on my last trip to Bakersfield. Temblor Formation, mid. Miocene Normal finds are shark teeth, marine mammal parts, fish verts, etc. Basically all marine unless something washes in. Item is 25mm wide x 8mm tall. Any ideas? Misha
Could that be where a shark vert was before?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, but I am not sure if the hole in the middle of them gets that big.

daves64
My first impression of it was some sort of circular impact fracturing. Accomplishing the impossible means only that the boss will add it to your regular duties.
