tracer
the picture is dark and not close up enough on the jaw. you might take a close up side view and chewing surface view of the tooth and someone here may well be able to help. the unknown metallic thing is a buffalo nickel. Auspex
So, I'm enjoying (greatly) the variety of goodies pictured here, when I read the "unknown metallic creature" label. Ya' got me good (at least I didn't have a mouthful of coffee at the time)! Cris
I meant to post last night that the crown of that tooth looks almost the size of that unknown metallic creature. I think its too big for deer.
Cris
the unknown metallic thing is a buffalo nickel. Maybe its just very late, but I found that unbelievably hilarious.
tracer
Maybe its just very late, but I found that unbelievably hilarious. it's not very late, it's very early. and you're obviously ill. call a serious medical facility and tell then you need to get in there now to see them and that you suspect you have "funny bone acromegaly". memorize that! "funny bone acromegaly"! do it NOW! p.s. - the ONLY benefit of socializing online is that you don't have to admit when you giggle and snort at stupid jokes. you, son, (root admin, sir), just BLEW it! p.p.s. actually, when that buffalo nickel thing popped into my head, i was extremely happy, because it seemed the most perfect "inside joke" i've ever thought of. i mean, it was better than both the one in 1973 and the one in '88 or '89, whenever it was. and of course the goal of any court jester is to make the king laugh, sooooo...my day is kind of made. p.p.p.s. can we get some smaller fonts than this. there's some other stuff i want to say but i need a much smaller font. p.p.p.p.s.aurora - sorry to get sideways on your topic, man. i haven't forgotten that you have cool fossils from a place i've never been and want to be. it's just that i tend to focus on quarters. probably from that tennis-shoe shine stand i had back when i was a kid teenag, in my early twenties. p.p.p.p.p.s.i'm ending this post now. feel free to apply your mental emergency brakes. Frank Menser
I need more views of the unknown metalic creature to properly ID. Or better yet send as many specimens to me as you can find. The Jaw does look like deer to me but again better pics would help. Be true to the reality you create.
