Nicholas
Well its finally here, my fossil xmas gift. I was beginning to get depressed with all the snow covering my plant hunting grounds... I had been craving something a little more vertebratey anyway. So here it is: Palaeolagus sp. Nicholas
New discovery: after I examined my specimen with my giant magnifying lamp I noticed there are a few spots of broken bone... seems inside the bone are DIAMONDS... not really probably calcite... Why is it every fossil I buy has calcite in them?

Why is it every fossil I buy has calcite in them? because you're buying fossils from marine sedimentary strata that had evaporitic minerals crystallizing at some point.
