Frank Menser Posted December 15, 2009 Share Posted December 15, 2009 Ok, ever find a fossil associated with another "unlikely" species? Below is a piece I collected in West Palm Beach Florida. It combines a crown of a Mastodon tooth together with part of the shell of a Giant Tortoise. The pity here is the site was an ancient sinkhole where animals fell to their deaths, often shattering the remains of animals that died before them so the rock is a hodge-podge of several species.
