Found this in a a gravel that is full of fossils like belemnite and Gryphaea.

It stood out from the rest - maybe it’s just a rock?

This is it :

Appears to be a piece of sedimentary rock. What about this piece caught your interest?

Cheers.

Thanks for the help I don’t know the most about fossils and it was just a different colour from the rest of the gravel and it had holes in it

Might well have been different from the rest of the load of gravel you had delivered but nothing here to suggest fossil. You mentioned that there were belemnites and gryphaea in the load of gravel. Did you save any of those?

Cheers.

It’s gravel that I’ve laid a couple years back it’s called cotters gold but it must come from a highly fossilised area cause it’s a mineral gravel I’ve found a partial belemnite before and a load of gryphaea the only thing I’ve noticed in it today is a rock that’s had a belemnite attached I think at some point

After another checked I’ve found a few more things two gryphaea stuck together and a bit of what looks like a concretion with shells in it
