Everhardus
Seatown is the place to be for the Juassic Coast, if you have limited experience. There’s a belemnite graveyard and the clays expose a lot of ammonite parts. So theres a good chance of finding something.. Finding a real good specimen is a challenge though and more the exemption than the rule. The ammonite in my Avatar is from Seatown, androgynoceras leatacosta. These are normally found in nodules from the Green Ammonites layers at this location and only fo be seen after decent prepwork. I think for the most part your finds belong to the same species. At least 10 years ago we visited the same place and my wife had the sheer luck of finding this ammonite in in my Avatar, both sides clean.....a lot of luck and a trick she has been able to repeat...... Nice finds and good luck ! I’d really like to visit the same spot one day..... cheers, Marcel
