A little bit of work on a large ammonite that Natalie found. Ik was broken in half during extraction and still had a lot of matrix. Prepped it today and made a restauration of the crack.
this one has some inpressive spines up to 5 cm.

 

this is the prepped specimen:

That explains it. For a moment I thought it might be a model Dunkleosteus :)
