Praefectus
I've been experimenting with putting pictures of fossils on black backgrounds. I like the results. I'm working on taking pictures of my collection in this format in addition to pictures of fossils against a red cloth background. Praefectus
Once I have a few more pictures taken, I will work on uploading them into a member's gallery. Unfortunately, classes have been keeping be really busy lately.
Coco
Photos on a black background often give an interesting contrast. I also like a grey background according to the fossils. But I think that the other colors don't bring anything to the photos. In black the result is classy, elegant, refined. Mioplosus_Lover24
So we've seen the best of Praefectus... what about the worst of Praefectus? Excellent collection my friend! We need to get you some more fish! 1 "Life is too complex for me to wrap my mind around, that's why I have fossils and not pets!"
thelivingdead531
I don’t know how I missed this before, but that is quite an amazing collection! I spotted one fossil that is now in my collection.
Praefectus
Thanks everyone. 1 hour ago, Mioplosus_Lover24 said: So we've seen the best of Praefectus... what about the worst of Praefectus? Excellent collection my friend! We need to get you some more fish! Haha. Probably some beat up Otodus obliquus teeth and a glued together mosasaur jaw. I'll have to work on finding more fish. 1 hour ago, connorp said: Very nice. What’s your photography set up? I'm using my cell phone camera (Galaxy S10 I think) and a piece of red/black cloth. Praefectus
I finally got around to getting a pair of digital calipers. Looking forward to using these on fossils. 1
