Top Trilo
I have two shark teeth that I don’t know what shark it belongs to. I’ve had them for years and haven’t payed much attention because I forgot about them. I know the one in the bottle is modern but an ID would still help. Not sure about the other one I know the root is broken and unfortunately it’s split in half but it’s darker so I don’t know if it’s fossil or not. I just want to know what shark owned these teeth and if the second tooth is modern or fossilized. BellamyBlake
First one looks Mako, modern. It's hard to tell what the second is based on the root being missing, but it looks modern, too.
ThePhysicist
The one in the vial is a modern mako, the other looks moroccan (fossil) but not enough to id. 1 "Argumentation cannot suffice for the discovery of new work, since the subtlety of Nature is greater many times than the subtlety of argument." - Carl Sagan "I was born not knowing and have had only a little time to change that here and there." - Richard Feynman Collections: Hell Creek Microsite | Hell Creek/Lance | Dinosaurs | Sharks | Squamates | Post Oak Creek | North Sulphur River | Lee Creek | Aguja | Permian | Devonian | Triassic | Harding Sandstone Instagram: @thephysicist_tff
