Top Trilo
Is it on top of the rock or part of it? I found one similar and it turned out to be a blue lichen. “If fossils are not "boggling" your mind then you are simply not doing it right” -Ken (digit) "No fossil is garbage, it´s just not completely preserved” -Franz (FranzBernhard) "With hammer in hand, the open horizon of time, and dear friends by my side, what can we not accomplish together?" -Kane (Kane) "We are in a way conquering time, reuniting members of a long lost family" -Quincy (Opabinia Blues) "I loved reading the trip reports, I loved the sharing, I loved the educational aspect, I loved the humor. LabRatKing
Looks like Pholad bore holes from marine organisms that have filled in with silicates to me. Also called Gastrochaenolites. Is the rock glassy, as in silicate mudstone?
doushantuo
once again, possibly orbicular granite.
LabRatKing
3 hours ago, doushantuo said: once again, possibly orbicular granite. Good possibility, but with the photos provided and overall uniformity on the surface, a fresh face and or cut and polish would help with that line of thinking. This is pretty low density and a bit too perfect for orbicular granite in my opinion. Also igneous rock is relatively rare in that area. Sure it could be glacial in origin, but I feel more site data would be needed to confirm.
