i have had this for about 20 years and need help id like to findout what it was fromand the age range for it or send mein the right direction on where i could go to have itlooked at thanks

yes, I would say it it one too. I believe they were around the miocene, 23 mya. Is the miocene the first apperance of the Megalodon or was it a few million years ealier?

The root is missing, and the front being worn away also suggests that it is a partial tooth.

It is however definitely a Meg, and a good find.

It is missing most of the root and quite a bit of the surface enamel. That is why i would catagorize it as a partial tooth.
