Netherlands February 20, 2008

I've only started shark teeth hunting since November last year. It was a colleague of me we sparkled the interest. The first trip was to the southern coast of The Netherlands. We didn't find much, but it was enough to start the addiction.

My recent trips are carried out in the eastern of Holland, close to the German border. Here mud is extracted from a lake, from a depth of 45-75yards. During working hours one can stand at the point where the mud is pumped on an area to dry. By using a big sift on wheels it is possible to find many beatiful teeth during a day.

The pics show some of the teeth I found on February 20th. Most are Mako (C. hastalis) and C. escherie. But sometimes you find the beautiful 6 and sevengill sharks.

Enjoy,

Arjen
