The kids and I found this fossil on our first hunt today. It’s a tooth I’m pretty sure. I’m thinking a mosasaur?

This looks more like a polished piece of bone, rather than enamel of a tooth, to me. 

Wait for some other opinions, though.  @mamlambo  @Dave (POM) Allen

it would help to know where it was found ?..an interesting looking bone. what is the size ?, it doesn't look like tooth.

Its definitely bone at the bottom and has an interesting shape to it. Can you post a close-up picture of the triangular section please?

OP--What is the lithology of the rock that the bone is encased in?  Is it stable?  A little prep work (delicately...) might yield answers
