New Members Ewing Posted March 15, 2021 New Members Share Posted March 15, 2021 I went and checked out the Big Brook Creek preserve in NJ today and found these pieces of bone. I'm not sure what they are and could use some help identifying them. Please let me know if I need to give more or better images. Thank you for your time. The Jersey Devil
it's a modern bone and rodent tooth “You must take your opponent into a deep dark forest where 2+2=5, and the path leading out is only wide enough for one.” ― Mikhail Tal
JohnJ
The bone is similar to a partial beaver femur. The tooth might belong to the same animal. 1 The human mind has the ability to believe anything is true. - JJ

Bone can change color in a fairly short time in rivers, due to the tannins that are in the water.
