Mcmaker
Hi, just wanted to show you prep of a quite nice preserved Lacunosella cracoviensis - endemic specie of my Jurassic area prepped with a Engraver and a little bit of vinegar for surface cleaning. Started as a 20 pounds chunk 3

Fossildude19
@Mcmaker What type of engraver and tip did you use? Was it the rotary kind of engraver, or the reciprocating kind? Brachio Bill
A couple of questions. How much time was involved from 20 pounds of rock to your specimen? And, how did you bring out the color of the brachiopod?

Sorry for late answer Breaking the rock at site took about 15 minutes of hammering and chiseling, further preparation at home went pretty quick, about 2 hours. Color is from natural mineralisation and i like to get some shine and enhancing it by painting fossil using wood glue mixed with water
