Back yard find, along w/ other coral types.  Clay soil w/ broken limestone, common in San Antonio. The lower portion has a few clear coral-type cells, Opposite end, usually w/ radial pattern in rugosa, is smoothed oval dome.  Can't find similar type in variety of fossil sites online.

The smooth end is banded chert, or perhaps sandstone. The other end does appear to be coral, but that's all I can say, unfortunately.

At 2 1/4 " to 2 3/8" are about 5 tiny cells, 1 mm, each w/ what appears to be tiny quartz crystal.  Piece does have sandstone texture on this side, so maybe sand crystals.  Thanks for taking  time to check this out!  This one item was my sole reason for getting on TFF site  MZ
