Josesaurus rex
Hello everybody. I have a question: I saw this online, according to the description it is a fragment of dinosaur bone from the morrison formation, found in Utah. I know that it is very difficult to attribute specific species to such fragments. However, I would like to know, at least, what genre it could be. My personal opinion is that it resembles a piece of ankylosaurid skin plaque. The bone has been polished on one side, which can be seen in the fifth photo. That is the question that I would like you to help me solve please.

Hmmmm .. I'm no dino expert but I've seen a good bit of turtle material. This looks like a turtle carapace to me ? One of the marginal bones. Brett Breakin' Rocks
Sorry .. strike that .. maybe from the plastron. The 'underside' of the shell. This is a turtle from the Kem Kem beds but I think the wrong type of turtle. I'll find a better comparison piece but this should be from the correct general area.
