New Members JohnnyJimbo Posted October 20, 2021 New Members Share Posted October 20, 2021 I haven't been able to get a confirmation of what I have here. Although it looks like a skull with a horn protruding from the back it was not identified on inaturalist or Google lens, so any further help would be much appreciated. Fossildude19
Moved to FOSSIL ID. Welcome to the Forum. This does look like a hyperostotic fish bone, but modern, not fossil. Not sure what fish it is from, as it could be a rib or other bone, and not necessarily a pectoral or dorsal fin spine. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."
