val horn
I think it is a fossil pearl. It was found in a shell fragment in Post-Oak Creek texas, but I am not sure as it is the first I have found. If it is a fossil pearl how do fossil pearls relate to common pearls

Tidgy's Dad
Can't make anything out at all in those photos, I'm afraid. 1 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.
Rockwood
I'm perhaps more used to blurry than most. There appears to be some sort of material separating the dark substance from the shell (?). I'm afraid it could indicate that it is not indicative of much at all. It could be just a random remnant of most anything.
val horn
new pictures, i was told about a magnifying app for the iphone and this seems to help me to get clearer photos of smaller things Front, back and two with higher focusing on the sides . Mahnmut
Ok, now I can see something. Looks like a nacre-like growth in a bivalve shell, so I would call it a pearl, if not jewelry-grade.
