Hello! I found this fossilized bone fragment in a small cave in the Springfield Plateau area in Northwest Arkansas. I'm very curious of how difficult it would be to tell if it is human or animal, and what the possibilities might be! Thank you!

Neither would be my choice. I don't believe it is a bone. Rather it looks like probable concretion. A better look at the texture could alter my opinion however.

You do realize that humans are animals though ? :)

Hmm, I consider this to be the lower end of a tibia with the medial malleolus.
