paleoflor
Specimen on first photograph is probably not from Madagascar (I believe to see vessels in the wood microstructure, which suggests 'hardwood', which would be incompatible with the great majority of Madagascar woods, which are Triassic in age). The second specimen might be from Madagascar, but then again, this type of mineralisation is pretty generic, making it difficult to retrace the location of origin. Unfortunately, none of the specimens photographed have mineralisation characteristics that immediately strike me as being typical for one particular locality. 1 Searching for green in the dark grey.
