Oli
I found this rock a few years ago buried in the ground. She looks like a hip. The rock weighs about 2-3 pounds and is the size of an adult hand. You can see scratches on it (as if someone had scratched it with a sharp knife). There are also small holes (see photo) and the rock is red/orange in color inside these cavities. I think it's a fossil, but I don't know much about it. Ideas ? Fossildude19
I agree - this looks geologic in nature - no bone texture or actual bone morphology. 2 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Oli
Thank you for your quick responses! With the shape I thought it was a hip and that the holes could be old veins . I think my imagination went a little overboard.
