Mexx
I can see why it's one of your favorites! Stunning tooth  Is it all natural? Huge too. 6 1/2" or 16-17 cm range? I wish it was that large!!! :-) But the picture may be a bit deceiving as the tooth measures "only" 5.35"

sseth
Some really nice and interesting teeth so far, I'm glad to see there's interest in the thread, maybe over time, it'll end up as a nice online archive of photos of high quality fossil shark teeth. Time will tell. In the meantime, I just got this one in, but it's not for sale, in fact, I made it my new header pic on my website for sale page, that's how much I liked it. 4.75", very wide, amazing form. Gorgeous blue-ish enamel with darker blue patterns, about the finest bourlette possible, great root, and, the serrations and tip are flawless and as well preserved as those you'd find on a fresh tooth. In my experience, Meg teeth don't get a whole lot nicer. Just amazing _____________________________________ Seth www.fossilshack.com www.americanfossil.com www.fishdig.com
sseth
This SC tooth looks like a real gem when hold into the sun. The strings of pyrite that ran along the bourlette and the blade really start to shimmer at the right angle. also there are some faint wrinkles along the blade. really one of my favourites! WOW!!!! That thing is huge _____________________________________ Seth www.fossilshack.com www.americanfossil.com www.fishdig.com

MOROPUS
My best Moroccan tooth: I always love on matrix fossils! An Hexanchus piece of posterior tooth, found by me in Pliocene layers. It has been the first one I ever found! Not a big one, but nevertheless, very rare in this era: A Chilean great white, purchased several years ago: And a very big Squalicorax Pristidontus aswell from Morocco. Only root is missing, but the colour is beautiful!
PaleoRon
The color of that Otodus is super nice. I have only been able to get my hands on one nice purple one and it is also a matrix specimen. I went through a phase where I tried to get good Moroccan Otodus teeth in as many colors as possible. Unfortunately, finding colorful teeth was much more easy than finding high quality colorful teeth. Found it. Surprisingly, it was in the box it was supposed to be in. Your Otodus is much more richly colored. Edited July 29, 2010 by PaleoRon

thair
These are from the Penn. in central Texas. "Cladodus mirabilis" I beleive. This is from a matrix block that includes cartiledge, eight teeth (that can be seen), and preserved skin.
GreatWhite
My dream is to one day find a Meg. Don't really care how big just as long at it's a Meg. Absolutely beautiful teeth and things I can only dream about finding. I only have 4 teeth in my collection as I just started a few days ago. First one is of course my baby. Nothing special about it at all and nothing impressive. It was just my first Shark's tooth and I found it when I was 10 years old. It's also the biggest tooth I have. I look forward to finding examples of what is posted in this thread; one day!
Mexx
Time to post another one of my favourites...:-) This one here is something special to me, as it is not only the most pristine tooth that I have in my collection, but it was also a gift for my Bachelor's degree back then. This is about as perfect as a tooth can get, the only flaw is a half nicked serration. Root, Bourlette, Tip, Smoothness of the enamel, all is perfect and it even has that yellowish halo just below the bourlette, that does not come across really good in the picture. There is even some pyrite in the Bourlette. At 4.52" it's is not the largest, but it's my most perfect one.
Mexx
Some of you might have already seen this one here, as it was on ebay recently and has been on a private sales page as well. Still I wanted to upload it for the others to enjoy. The overall condition and the color of the bourlette on this 4.37" Lee Creek meg are really fantastic. It is one of my all time favourites now! I was pretty excited when I found it, since it is not thàt common and it was the only tooth I found that day. http://rhaetianlorraine.webs.com/

DeloiVarden
My best find and favorite tooth to date. Just a hair under 6 inches measuring 5 31/32 inches on the slant and 5 inches across the root. I may never find another better, but will likely keep forever even if I do. Paleoc
My best hastalis. 1/32 inch shy of 3 inches found on a Potomac river beach. I purchased a 1 inch juvenile modern great white (1/3 size of the other tooth) to show the relationship as they are the same tooth minus the serrations.
