There were too many environmentally fragile species that survived (such as amphibians) for the events said to have taken place after the asteroid impact. Just my opinion btw. ashcraft Posted March 29, 2010 Share Posted March 29, 2010 I have said in the past, and will say into the future, any long-term climatic problems would have been dealt with by the species that were dominant through evolutionary change. In my opinion it would take a sudden change to any ecosystem to lead to a mass extinction. Catastrophist to the end.
