It's done... 2022. What was your most beautiful asset this year? May be a find, purchase, trade, or gift. Be careful not to name sellers :Wink1:

A very good and safe new year to everyone and a great 2023!

Some of my good 'finds'. Because my health failed me in 2022, unfortunately I can't look for fossils independently. I am therefore mainly an online auction site seeker. Some nice finds done there. Difficult to choose, but since fossils from the Muschelkalk interest me very much, I choose from that.

Bought some nice books about the Winterswijk quarry and the lower Muschelkalk:

Put the acquisitions in the new book :TongueOut:.

Unfortunately no Winterswijk Nothosaurus jaw, but an Polish Nothosaurus jaw with tooth from Gogolin (middle Muschelkalk /the Żyglin quarry) in Poland:

Two new Tanystropheus teeth from the Zwingelhausen quarry near Backnang in Germany:

All in all, satisfied with the expansion of my collection in 2022 :JC_doubleup:.

Nice thread, hmmm, many things have been fantastic last year, but one of the most unusual finds (be bought it) was this rare Monte Bolca - Fish, Abromasta microdon. We got it in medium condition and I prepared it final. Lenght approx. 20 cm

first pic shows, how it was after a day of work, second one the result

I bought some Lance Formation matrix, and in it, was a partial nodosaur osteoderm with a bite mark.

2022 yielded some very nice fossils for me. But if I had to pick one; it would be this.

Spent most of my time hunting unfamiliar terrain in 2022. However, I did manage to scratch off one from the bucket list.
