Fossil identifying help! I think it may be a shark tooth from the east coast, Carolinas

How big is this ? I'm pretty sure this isn't a tooth. Bone seems quite likely though.

Looks like turtle shell.

Yup. No enamel and doesn't look like actual fossil shark teeth. The texture on the topside (first image) with the grooves definitely is a strong indication that it is a worn piece of turtle shell.
