Doctor Mud
Only a few things (mammals) have a femur that big! I don’t think that’s dinosaur @Troodon @jpcCompare yours to the wooly mammoth femur. Your image number 2 looks like a good match? Mahnmut
Hi Cherie 77 and welcome to the forum! At first look I thought it may be three quarters of a sloth femur, assuming that the slight increase in diameter towards the broken end meant that there was not much length missing. Looking at Dr. Muds pic of a Mastodon femur , I think thats quite a good fit and your find could be the distal quarter of something very similar. This was my first inclination, too. @Cherie77 Can you take photos at right angles to the specimen with some measurements? Side views would be useful. JohnJ
Good photos. Full orientation images, like the last one, showing the other side and edges would be great. Keep 'em coming. (I'm still in leaning toward sloth.) The human mind has the ability to believe anything is true. - JJ

Heres a ground sloth femur for comparison. It does look a lot better! 2
